Inferiority is something we all face in one way or another. We may feel inferior about how we speak, the way dance, how we sing and etc. Alfred Adler, a theorist, stated that we have the capacity to compensate our inferiority. This idea was proved by many people, especially athletes.
One well-known name is Nick who was born without complete upper and lower extremities, but was an excellent swimmer. Playing our very own favorite sports is a way for us to compensate our perceived weaknesses for it lets us spend our energy in a different area.
Those people who excel in sports have definite weaknesses and found their place in this complex world. Doing different activities let us discover more ourselves and lets do something about it. Compensation does not just happen in the trades, with engaging ourselves with sports, it is possible.
